Technical Notes - Week #2 (Photoshop + Indesign)
Technical Notes - Week #2
I took technical notes last week as part of my reflective journal, but this time I will write them separately. Both InDesign and Photoshop were used a lot this week.
In Photoshop we were showed some basic cleanup techniques using the cropping tool, as well as fixing the value balance on photocopied or photographed drawings by using the curves adjustment layer (non-destructive). Curves are something I play with a lot within renders and photography so it's nice to see the variety of situations they can be used well in.
InDesign was mainly used to put together our reference board / mood board for the project. Learning to use the different select options for grabbing the frame vs the image was tricky, and text formatting is different to any other software I've used before as well. I did find the "Essentials Classic" option on the top right suggested by Oana provided better layer/page functionality and I prefer it for my workflow.
