Technical Notes Week #5 - More Photoshop/Maya
Technical Notes Week #5
I used the boolean mesh tool in Maya to achieve some new shapes as part of my robot design. This was done by using a cutter shape (you shift select the target shape and then the cutter shape second) and applying a difference boolean. This is done through the "mesh" menu.
I also practiced some extra silhouette drawings partially for the purpose of increasing my proficiency with photoshop/digital drawing with a mouse. I found the shortcut keys G and B (for bucket and brush) very useful for making quick shapes, and also playing with the brush settings helped a lot (increasing hardness especially, and photoshops auto-smoothing feature was also pretty helpful)
